About 30 C or so back home, so I’ve been told. It’s hot hot hot. So the remedy are shorts. I dug deep into my suitcase of fabrics again and pulled out this lovely African print fabric I bought recently. This one was a real gem as it had gold lines on the prints. The initial idea was to make a jacket and shorts but I didn’t buy enough material to do both so I opted for the shorts instead.
Matching the prints to the pattern pieces is such a waste of fabric. Luckily the prints were spaced much closer together. Compared to the ones I did previously (shown below), I had more of an easier time matching the prints this time.
Suffice to say, I love both shorts and they are so ‘in your face’. But I will wear it will a simple solid colour t-shirt. Nice and easy. But African prints are definitely on my future shopping list.
